Not necessary true. PAP showing in Malaysia was better than Umno in Singapore. We win one in their election. They lost all those in Singapore that they participated.

MCA was threatened by PAP while UMNO was afraid of the potential loss of their ruling party (or coalition) position.

If PAP able to win a seat in the the Malaysia election (should be by Devan Nair) before the separation, while UMNO lost every single one, there is no way to say for certain that LKY will not be the PM. Anyway at the time just before the separation the population demographics was around Chinese 45%, Malays 45% and 10% Indians and others. So playing a racial card might not secure the majority.

However, the internal messed up domestic politics will DEFINITELY have the impact of slowing down the growth of the country. Doubt he will be able to spend as much of his energies on developing the country if he is to be more concern about winning elections against a bunch of nutcase who strokes the fires of racial disharmony.

I think the basic problem is the bumiputra policy. None of the bumiputra has really make it despite the help that they have. They are getting weaker and more stupid. Its sad that the political forefathers of Malaysia are so bloody short sighted and only concern about winning elections while screwing up the whole country's future. Realy idiots!

I am not a supporter not a fervant "hater" of LKY. I just stating the facts that the multi-racial and secular state is one of the best things that he has done for Singapore.

This thread is really an eye opener...even though it became off topic. Well, let's try not to touch on sensitive topics and call others a pig etc...if we really want to protect ourselves from Malay robbers, we smear pig's blood on ourselves or wear pig skin....if kenna rob by Indians, easier, just pour fresh milk from cow....

On a serious note, this situation is getting really bad to worse....I know...I'm been robbed myself...in broad daylight. Around 1 year back, two fuckers in car not only knock my car....they knock us off the road in broad daylight. This is a change in tactics. The fuckers now know that knocking into your car won't make you stop and check cause so many people kenna rob, now they will knock your car off the road. My car went into a spin. Those 2 fuckers came out with hammers and parang and immediately hack at my windscreen. They pull us out, whack the fuck out of us for no reasons even though we were willing to give them our money, took our car and left us bruised and bleeding. No bystanders dared to assist us...anyway can't blame them, if I am them I also dunno wat to do....

Only thing I'm glad....my char bo did not come with me. Honestly speaking, if I kenna rob, hurt blah blah its not end of the world to me....but honestly speaking, I cannot picture my char bo kenna gang-bang rape in front of me while I am helpless....that's every guys/bfs/husbands worse nightmare come true. Therefore bros, whatever you do, just watch out and try not to go to such places with your char bo....prevention is better than cure....

The police are really fucking useless. They are most efficient in collecting bribes....I kenna summon by them already dunno how many times. Always the same protocol, "pay" them on the spot or follow them several hundred kms away to their police station...real fuckers. No wonder their crime rate so high, busy collecting bribes instead of doing their duties. If their pay is so low and they not willing to do their duty, then these police might as well cross over to Singapore and sweep our floors.....last heard cleaners get around $600 to $850 a month, convert to RM, is more than their salary of just $1k RM.....
