After doing nth whole game, AC finally scored

For once i was tense because bromies had some good possesion at our half and we tend to sit back after taking a lead.

Hope to build up more goals in the 2nd half

Indeed - 2nd half was very dull, but bromies didnt seem likely to score anyway.

Spurs still has 2 games in hand - top 4 seems so far away.

Gotta up the tempo and hope other results go our way

The final few minutes saw Downing's shot at goal denied by the wood work

Again shots hit woodwork and did not go in. The commentator mentioned that Liverpool was the team that had the most shots denied by the goal posts

Need to do more target practices.

Luck or no luck end of the day its the 3 pts that counts the most....i rather they play ugly get the 3 pts in then play beautifully like Arsenal used to and still end up on the losing side....

Reds down Hodgson's Baggies

Andy Carroll & Luis Suarez showed more signs of forging a potent strike partnership as Liverpool strolled 2 victory over West Brom - & former Reds manager Roy Hodgson - @ the Hawthorns.

A Charlie Adam penalty & Carroll's 3rd goal of the campaign confirmed Liverpool's superiority as they climbed in2 5th spot in the Barclays Premier League.

But it was the way tat Carroll & Suarez gelled which would hv given the most satisfaction 2 Reds boss Kenny Dalglish.

Carroll is starting 2 live up 2 his £35million price tag while Suarez gave his usual irresistible performance as the pair tormented the Baggies rearguard.

With Adam & Lucas Leiva running the show in the centre of the park & Daniel Agger impressive in defence, Liverpool had few problems in chalking up a 3rd away league win of the campaign.

It ended the Baggies run of 11 points fr the last 6 games but more accomplished sides will find it hard 2 deal with Carroll & Suarez in tis form.

Liverpool, without the injured Steven Gerrard (ankle) & Jamie Carragher (calf), were the 1st 2 settle & a long ball fr Jose Enrique was seized on by Suarez but his control let him down.

Aft 8 mins Adam put Liverpool ahead fr the penalty spot.

Suarez was bundled into by Jerome Thomas & referee Lee Mason pointed 2 the spot aft his assistant Gary Beswick flagged 4 a foul.

Albion's players were incensed by the decision but up stepped Adam 2 send Ben Foster the wrong way fr the spot 4 his 2nd goal of the campaign.

Liverpool had appeals 4 a 2nd penalty rejected when Carroll's header fr Suarez's cross struck the hand of Andy Reid.

Jonas Olsson became the 1st player 2 be yellow carded aft 35 mins 4 a reckless challenge on Carroll.

Suarez had a chance 2 increase Liverpool's lead aft 35 mins when Martin Skrtel squared a deep Adam corner back across the box. But the Uruguayan shot wide fr 8 yards out.

Then aft 45 mins Carroll made it 2-0. Lucas' fine pass picked out Suarez & he released Carroll who clipped wide of the advancing Foster 4 his 5th goal in 21 games 4 Liverpool.

Liverpool began the 2nd half on the offensive & Henderson failed 2 make proper contact on his shot aft Carroll found him in space.

Albion came close 4 the 1st time aft 47 mins when Somen Tchoyi was inches wide with his low cross shot. But Liverpool were quickly back in command & Carroll should hv done better when an Adam shot ballooned up in2 his path. Suarez was proving hard 2 contain & he shot over fr a narrow angle.

A long raking pass fr Adam released Suarez who cut inside the box but he was eventually crowded out & Foster collected. Albion were forced in2 a change with Scharner picking up a knee injury & replaced by James Morrison.

Jose Enrique galloped 4ward 2 force Foster 2 finger-tip his shot over the bar & then the keeper blocked a Carroll volley aft more good play by Suarez.

Carroll found himself in acres of space on the edge of the box but shot wide when Jordan Henderson was unmarked. With 9 mins left, Dalglish made his 1st substitution with Suarez making way 4 Craig Bellamy - his 250th Premier League appearance.

Olsson headed wide fr a Chris Brunt corner but it was 2 little, 2 late fr the Baggies & in injury time the woodwork denied Downing his 1st Liverpool goal.
