It seems that USD exchange rate is moving up again. On Thursday noon, the rate was 177200 but friday morning was 177800 at the "Black market". My friend who owns a Goldsmith shop told me that USD might reach 19000 by CNY. How true? It is speculation and lots of people are buying.

Reached HCMC 16th Morning, was not in sgp 1 week, back on 15th then 16 early flight to HCMC. Never spend time do some homework before came here. Regret now . Tot can depend on a fellow sgp friend working here to bring me explore the place, turn out he going back for CNY holiday from today. So only had chance to go dinner only, kaoz.

SGP to VD rate 11750 when I changed yesterday.

Staying at NGAN HA htl, Le Thanh Ton St, district 1. Few streets near here close at nite, macum pasar malam, lotsa food stalls n other stuff. Walking down the streets also have offers from some lady saying have massage service, 100k 1 hr inclusive of room, want full package add another 400k. Still thinking should take up the adventure or not. Any Bros have any advise?

I hope will have a chance to fire some rounds, before going back to SGP . I know last min maybe hard to get any help, but if any bros can help, it will be GREAT.

Went to Le Duyen 4 also ard 3pm and take VIP room 1 hr for VND 100K at 4 floor. Nice place got lift to go up to the room. The gals not bad looking but no special.

If anyone want to go for special massage recommend at VIET DONG HOTEL
near PHAM NGU LAO STREET. It located at 2nd floor come with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi pool and TV room. RATE is 130K for 1hr Normal room 400K for 2hr VIP room....the gal is all pretty ard 8/10 the prettiest is no 9 but always fullly booked. HJ plus autoroaming ard 300K to 500K up to yr personal power bargaining.

Not sure if Spring hotel is Girl Friendly, But I do know that Indochine is. As for Taxi, depneds on what you take. Airport taxis are expensive. The other companies like Vinasun, Vinataxi, Mai Linh should be about VND80K - VND100K. I not sure because I dont taxis from airport to District 1.

Just to kaypo abit.

The cab will cost not more than VND90K. However, I would suggest you to take from the departure hall at level 2. Just hop-in to any taxi after passengers alighted. Recommended taxi companies will be MaiLinh (White Green) , Vinasun (white Green), Hoang Long (Green Yellow) , Future (Black), Petrolimex (White-Blue), Vinataxi (Yellow). Please see carefully before you board the taxis because they are many "look-alike" that wil cost much more.
Extra-charge of VND5,000 for parking fees. If you are going to Dist 1. ask the taxi to go by Nam Ky Khoi Nghia. Just say "Di Nam Ky Khoi Nghia" to make them think you know the way in case they bring you for a "city tour".

It might be better to go by Phan Dinh Phung which connects directly to Hai Ba Trung and leads you directly into District 1 and is closer to Spring Hotel. Going by Nam Ky Khoi Nghia would result in making a very big u-turn. This suggesting is based on the location of Spring Hotel.

sorry for the confusion...actually there is a typo. I meant to say that I dont take taxi into the heart of District 1 from the airport. I live on the the fringe of District 1 and Binh Than.
