I've heard of naked KTVs in HCM, and seen some pics shared here, with two KTV girls kissing, dancing naked on the table. I've been to several KTVs there but so far none of this action..
Any bros can share with me where to go for this?
I know of a place in district 3. Word of warning. I personally feels it is a small scam. I was there with about 8 guys 2 months ago. So we got eight girls. The girls are rated around 2-6 in terms of looks. A lot of them have huge belly due to the amount of drinks they have to knock down every night. Most of them will drink about half a bottle before throwing the rest into the ice bucket. They collect commission for drinks too.
Most of them will do a strip or simulate a lesbo act for less than a song (3 minutes). They will then asked for tips (50K VND). 8 of us gave them and they collect 400K for the 3 minute work. On top of that, they demand another 200K for the person sitting with them. If all eight girls dance, you have to fork out 400K + 200K for tips to your own girl and if you add the drinks, it will easily reach a million or 2.
So if you have not seen a naked body for a long time and you have a few million dong to spare, I could look thru my namecard list and may be able to find the address for you.
Otherwise just read thru the forum and you may be able to gleam more information on better things to do while you are in HCM.
i'm going to HCM and will need to change around 25K - 30K sgd to vnd.
anyone knows where i can get a good conversion rate?
many thanks

Ben Thanh Market gold jewellery shops have good rates. Some bro recommended Kim Mai which has the best rates. I've not tried before. Please provide feedback if you do change from there.

Becareful when clearing customs with your money. Anything above USD$7k or equivelant you are suppose to declare.
As for changing that amount, It is better to travel around and check first. Tell them you have this amount to change and aks what is the rate. The shops normally will not have that much cash available on hand and they will tell you to come back a few days time. This gives you an opportunity to check the exhange rates and compare

I just changed my 120+ million dong to USD7000. The shop seems to have no problem, I had previously changed USD20K and USD14K respectively. The shop is Mai Van near Pho 2000 @ Cho Benh Thanh.
When I was changing my pathetic USD7000, somebody called up and wanted to buy USD100K. If you need to get more than USD7000 in or out, I can always help you

Foreigners are not allowed to change from Dongs to foreign currency in legal way. I only know that there is a counter at the airport for you to change loose Dongs. How much the limit? I also need advice from those have done it before.
Even if you are a Vietnamese, the maximum foreign currency you can change is USD500 in the bank after you showed you airticket and passport.
So, before you even need to declare (USD7000+), you cant change it legally. If you have more than USD7000 cash in your body, how are you going to explain?
Beijunda...Will you be in HCMC this sunday??? If not pls let me know your schedule..
Yes sir, me and beijunda will be waiting for your call tmr morning.
And for your sake, i will not get drunk tonight.

The only way to bring in more than US$7000 without declaring is to know the Head of Customs at the airport. In vietnam, it pays to know the right contacts. Year 2002 when the mobile phone market was monopolized by one govt linked company, there were still many illegal imports of 2nd hand mobile phones thru the HCM City port. 99% of the customs officer's eyes were all blocked by USD.....
