Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Sooner or later the Spanish giants will be fighting for him if he continues to play at this rate. Problem is hardly any players can resist the temptation. Which is a big headache for Liverpool fans. We had already seour unserious of our players leave. Steve Macca if u rem, followed by Michael Owen, Arbeloa, Alonso and not to forget meshcherano.

Gerrard seeking Liverpool redemption
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has revealed his determination to exorcise the demons of 2005 when the Reds were defeated by Chelsea at the Millennium Stadium. Liverpool face Cardiff in the Carling Cup final at Wembley on Sunday, seven years on from their agonising defeat to Chelsea. The Reds were beaten 3-2, with Gerrard contributing to the loss with an own goal. The defeat came during a season in which Gerrard had been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge and he left the Millennium Stadium at a low ebb. "I was linked with Chelsea for a while before that final," Gerrard said. "So to score an own goal and lose was a nightmare for me. There were Liverpool fans who probably thought I meant the own goal at the time. "I felt suicidal. It was one of the worst days I have had, especially coming against Chelsea." Gerrard, who is back on track following a couple of years with injury, feels Carling Cup glory could launch Liverpool on to a period of success but he feels the squad needs improving on in order to mount a league title challenge. "I think if we deliver the Carling Cup it will give us the confidence and can be a catalyst for the team," the England midfielder said. "The new players are settling in well and getting better and better. You can see how the team is going. I think we are a bit further away than that team and it's a lot more difficult to win the league now than in 2001. "Then there were probably three major forces and now there are five or six. But if we can keep adding to what we've got, and keep improving, hopefully we will do it." http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...n-2005?cc=4716 Prediction: Liverpool to win the cup by 2 goals |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
might not be a stroll in the park. For a lot of Cardiff players, this is the match of their lives, a match to define their playing careers. They aren't going to just roll over and die. I see us winning 3-1 with us scoring late goals.

"So a big part of me hopes this affects Cardiff in the right way and they are able to gain momentum in years to come from this experience. But selfishly I hope it is a narrow win for us and I play no part in the winning goal.''- craig Bellamy
Wah lao, CB say like this how to field him? there must be no room for sentiments today, must be ruthless Ayway, I thought the team against Brighton was good, except that Carra be replaced by Agger and Hendo by Kuyt. SD so much better playing on the left. KD will use this chance to line-up all his signings, though at least one of them will miss out, should be Hendo.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It will not be a walk in the park.
Cardiff is the only side that have beaten Liverpool 5 times in a row. Liverpool also have not won the last 3 league cup final with more than 2 goal margin. Handicap too high. Head to head taken from Eurosport. |
