Hotel Check-in

My regular hotel recently requires every single guests to register and check-in with IC or passport. Last time only requires me to book and check in myself and I can bring the girl up without registering her. Now at the lift lobby, need to show hotel key and IC for every single person before they let us go in.

Are there any decent hotels around $150 a night that doesnt not require to check-in the girl?

I never had this problem. Around your price bracket I can recommend Sheraton Towers, public rates for advance booking, prepaid is around $170

Slightly cheaper, Four Points at Havelock Road at $165 prepaid. I personally think the $5 saving is false economy and will always choose Sheraton if I given the chance

Better still, team up with another bro and split the cost, so 2 guys register. So long you don't try to bring the girl up at midnight. if she is up during "normal" evening hours you can always say she's not staying.

Rates above are already nett, and for 2 pax.

Even easier if one of you have top-tier membership (Hyatt Globalist, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Shangrila Diamond) so you get early check in + late check out.

So long as the sharers can agree who gets to stay overnight and takes the free hotel breakfast, and the evening cocktails.

I used to go to the ones along Victoria Street... Cheap.. Good and low profile.

You can try Redoorz, in Feb and Mar I booked.. One night for about $80. Entry is easy with no prying and unnecessary checks. Just stay within restrictions and don't have a party.
