The first part all too familiar...

Got a friend's colleague seek help. He married a prc ex convict divorcee(working illegally as sex-masseur, on tourist visa, without valid work permit). Born a son soon after. Got their flat soon after (joint name wif son). Got her PR soon after.

The second part also not too unfamiliar...

The gal say look after kid too boring liao, wanna go out n work contribute to the family financially. The man refused bcoz no one look after the kid. The women secretly flew back China wif kid, come back alone, tell tat guy their kid wif her kins, now she can work already.

The 3rd part shouldn't be too far fr ur imagination too...

Soon she left everything undone and went work daily. The guy dunno where she work and wad she working as. Everytime ask sure quarrel. The gal say if wanna divorce don't talk too much go ahead.

Now the interesting minor details. Accordingly to wad's given to me, the gal always has valid reason for her every move, call her smart, maybe. Maybe tat guy is not a good talker/debator so every time lost/give-in.

As usual i'm not going to be too detailed about it hope u guys pardon me. Below r questions i can't answer my friend:

1) wad happen to the flat if divorce? Jus got key. Not even stayed there for a yr. Don't think can sell ba right? How to giv her half? (i always heard about giving the wife half when divorced)

2) If got evident on his wife is indeed working once again as sex-masseur, wad can he do to his advantage? (he tot of calling the police but dunno where she work)

3) He wants to get his kid back but he want to settle things wif her first (i hoped not both jump the flat in the end). There's an news article on overabduction which bro felt free to consider.

Thru our conversation, he hoped to hav a happy family wif her (still). They hav make conversation once in a while oni to end up disastrous. His wife not willing to reveal her work address (but she admit she's working as masseur. I've offered to find out for him oni to make him mad...

I also told him not to think too much maybe she's not working as wad he think it is (crossed fingers). My usual blunt and straight forward advice not suitable for him. I'm seeking kind soul who r smarter than i'm on how to advise him on his issues.

My advice for him is to arrange for divorce a.s.a.p and let the lawyer handle everything. Tat gal definately got her own agenda coming all this way.

I wished to gather more knowledge and opinion (beside the All U Need to Know About Divorce thread).

Tat guy think he can still salvage his marriage...a very stubborn and hard headed guy.

The best thing your friend can do is get a PI to gather evidence on her unfaithful activities. But firstly, is your friend giving her reasonable amount monthly to substain her life and the kid?

The reason for this is
1) The Women charters are ridiculous and may spare her alot of lewd way if she argued that the husband did not provide for her. And that out of desperation she could not secure another job and had to turn to her trade.
With that, the court will give priority to her for the custody of the child because it has prove that the husband is unfit to secure the financial needs of the child.
And that is bad cos .....

2) If they sell the house, if the custody of the child goes to the mother, then the husband are require to pay an amount to the wife, and on top of that, monthly maintenence, which will riun his life for sure.

But...

If the husband can provide evidence of her acts and also the monthly household money for her and kid, then the court will rule that the woman is unfit to have custody of the child because
1) the woman will not have a valid reason to be in great desperation to result in going back to the trade.
2) The court will rule that with the nature of her work, it will not be condusive for the child.

With that.
Your friend calls the shot, though i am cock sure she will fight for her owm maintenence.
Ultimately, your friend will have to pay a sum to the wife, which they call Matrimonial Assest. The calculation is based on value of flat, the woman's contribution to the furnishing, and years of marraige.

Tell your friend not to be rash, and only divorce her when he has strong evidence against her or that she initiate it herself.

I've heard fr the guy tat gal has once denied her monthly allowance during their quarrel-remember i mentioned she's quite clever wif words? To me, she remind me of one mischievous gal i had once, U giv her one million she also can say don't hav those type. I really dunno how the court gonna justify on tat.

I didn't encourage him on getting PI although he really wanted it. All i can say is this guy is like a pork on the table waiting to become pork chop.

Brother, your friend married and ex convict and a sex worker. What did he expect as far as the later outcome? Having said that, the most important thing to establish is she is not fit to raise a child hence as the other brother pointed out hiring a PI to establish that as a visual fact is very important. You need to document this as something over an extended period of time. Brother, also try to set things up so the flat is something he needs to raise the child with his exteded family ie mother or sister etc. That would allow your friend to go into divorce proceedings with a lot of leverage. Brother, I would not go the reconciliation route. Any woman who lies and flees like that is likely to do it again and their presence with you is only for selfish reasons most likely.

This happened to you and you are saying its your friend?

That why it never wise to pass money to your spouse with cold hard cash. Also open an account and do an electronic transfer etc whenever possible. That way you will leave a paper trail and hence evidences. It good advice for EVERY marriaged couple cause you never know what will happen in the future, regardless you married a foreigner, local, WL or a decent one.

I was almost in the same situation.

She came to work in Singapore, got arrested. Not before she made enough to buy 2 properties back in China.

She kept pestering me to get married, but I rejected her.

I digress - back to your question.
1. Flat - divorce, must sell flat, 50% goes to the woman.
2. Your friend must be smarter. Get 1 PI. BTW the woman seems very smart, bring the kid back to China first - got hostage.
3. This is where she got him by the balls!!

I've requested him to visit this forum to read on the 'All You Need To Know About Divorce...' thread. But i bet he's not going to take it. But at least he know a bit about it when it happen.

Obviously i'm not fated to be the right person to giv him advice (or i don't hav the way-out for him). The usual straight forward mean truth seems to be too hard for him to take. His wife may hav 'trained' him well to resist these type of words. I should hav use the soft approach for the start.

Last night we went cheonging, jio him along oni to stay for a while b4 guilt hit him n ask to leave early. Tat's the price u hav to pay being the goodie-goodie-guy ba. Anyway i kind of hate cheonging wif such ppl who kill the mood. After the music stop blasting our ears, all we can talk of was his problem-which naturally bcum the oni main topic for the night...duhz

Anyway, such thing r suppose to drag on for a while. I've seen miracle happen for such case along the way, so i can oni wish him well.

Your friend should think about moving on instead of acting like a loser.

A woman's heart can never be easily understood. In China culture, a woman can die for her baby and/or parents. But husbands can easily be replaced.
