Looks like not many Japan FR here. Hope to hear from other bros' experience in the land of the cherry blossom and rising sun!

I was in Tokyo for holiday and to meet up with friends in April this year. I had been to Japan three times over the past five years but as my Japanese language ability very rudimentary, one of my friends would always bring me around and they are not cheongster.

Cost average of JPY 10,000-15,000 for 35-50 min sessions. Quite a lot variation so good to shop around. Also no touts to harass you unlike in Kabukicho in Shinjuku where the gangsters are really scary and physically attempt to pull in and force you to pay lots of money for some midnight lounge quality kind of old lady!

Image Club SOP. You go to a club, order a girl (pay extra JPY 1,500-3,000 to choose from photos or persons), request for her to dress up in a costume (usually school girl, race queen, nurse, office lady (OL), waitress etc.), pay up at the counter, leave your shoes with them (you were the inhouse slippers while on premises) and then you shower on your own, put all your clothes and barang into a small laundry basket, towel around waist, you go to the room that they tell you where your girl will be waiting for you, already dressed in the costume that you request earlier when choosing. (Present passport with both hands and a short bow, page turned to my entry chop and sticker) How many times have you been to Japan? Three times over past five years (flip pages of passport to show). What are you doing in Japan? (Didn't know the word so I wrote "Lu3 Xing2" in Chinese on my notebook. Lucky they understood.) Where are you staying? (I had taken a namecard from the hotel frontdesk and showed it to them, saying that my room was still being prepared and I was having a walk to enjoy the sakura that were currently blooming whereupon they did the Jap "Ah so desu ne = Oh I see.") Then they looked at my passport and started saying to each other about how this was the first time they had seen a Singapore passport and starting asking me about where else I have visited and which country I liked best. Of course, I said, "Nihon wa ichiban = Japan is No.1" which pleased them to no end. Afterwards, they both bowed, gave me back my passport and said "Thank you" (in English!)

Got an unagi (eel) lunch – good for performance and trooped down back to the image club area for some sweet Japanese girl lovin’.

The place I eventually settled on was Aloha Image Club (http://www.aloha-club.com). I think it really depends on the establishment that u visit...luck of the draw. I speak a smattering of Japo and tried the same thing but it didn't work. if u do a search in other forums, u will realise that some shops do accept non-japanese customers.

Apologies for the long delay in putting up my 2nd FR. Here it is!
