condoms in GL

hi all - quick question. have any of you who frequent GL ever notice what kind of condoms the girls there use? ie are they latex (which are generally very effective in preventing HIV and other STD transmission) or are they some other type? i had sex in GL with a girl not long ago and now am worried (largely because i have the flu) but i used a condom. in any case not sure what type though. and since i am not from SG, i am asking you all here.... thanks you very much...

Brother you should actually bring your own. You owe it to the girl and yourself and for public health safety.

Ask not what SG society can do for you but what you can do for SG society.

yes, i understand i should bring my own, in retrospect. what i am asking is, given that i did not bring my own, does anyone have any idea of whether they generally use "safe", ie latex, condoms there? maybe someone has noticed? and definitely i will bring my own if and when i am back.

best is to bring one urself... I dun trust house condoms... U gotten a flu? Might be due to the bad weather... Or if u r still worried than wait for few mths later do a hiv/std blood test to double confirm. Cheers

In the first place if you have flu why are going to geylang ? You should be staying home to rest.

There are only two options... latex and polyurethane. The latter costs the earth so no whore is going to increase her overheads unnecessarily when the cheaper latex option is widely available.

Polyurethane condoms are only used by those with an allergy to latex.

The safety of condoms depends far more on how well they are stored, how long they are stored and how they are handled.

If the condom was intact after your act of copulation, I don't see what you have to worry about as far as HIV is concerned.

Bro,

The condoms are latex. They are not the best type. So no guarantee. I always bring my own. Sometimes when I am paranoid, I use mine and then ask for another of theirs...

Double protection...

Only when I get paranoid...

Brother, the basic concept is you should assume the women may be less educated about STDs and prevention than you. So they may use condoms perceived to be safe and high quality when they are not as good as other kinds available. You need to operate under that assumption. If you insist on partaking in vice, its also your duty to at least educate the women you visit for their own saftey and for that of SG society and global society wherever they may be from. Be a good man. I hope this resonates with you.

Latex for sure. And they're usually Carex or Durex brands, both of which are OK. Relax. If you are feeling sick, you probably are sick from something else. If it bugs you so much, just go for a test at 1 month and 3 months.
