FR on Regency Spa (former Golden Finger)

Renovation:
Minor: showers new clothes (yellow black theme) new shower curtain, shower gel.

Floor on cold/hot pool repainted. Pillar shower head removed, now all on walls. Generally feels cleaner.

Food:
Nestea ice lemon tea dispenser, neacafe coffee machine, boiler and water cooler. New red tables/chairs. Drinks are now self service. Food can order depends on menu. Finger food etc bao and sandwich also available ar shelf take yourself.

Smoking corner:
4th floor outdoors at corner, no fans!

TV room very big and comfy sofa with leg rest, but no show on.

Time: 1130-1330, suppose to start at 12pm... now still waiting so writing FR...

Only 3 pairs of shoes outside along corridor, girl coming in late or low strength? Today's Saturday.

Misc:
New carpets.

Old locker room uncles gone, 2 younger guys now

Recep auntie same.


Dmg 96 90mins.

I think I paid $96 or $97 for a 90 min session. They have removed the showers in the individual rooms (they're still there, just without shower heads) so everyone has to shower in the common area. Plus the doors are curtains so not a lot of privacy.

My maiden post so thought I should start with something simple.

Went yesterday night after nice hair wash/massage at a popular joint nearby.
The HC is located on a side lane and you can take the lift up. For a Sunday night, there were about 7 others already there.

Lady over the counter was not very friendly but recommended us to take 60min package at $80 instead of the $68 for 45min. Asked about services and was told that they only have 1 China chick for Oil massage, mostly Thais for either Thai massage or accupunture massage. Was also told that there were some Malaysian Chinese too (did actually saw one in the hallway).

Summary:
1.) Nice facilities with 3 pools (Hot, Warm and Cold-although this proved to be more swimming pool temperature) facing a soundless TV ; Steam Room; Sauna; Cold Room.
Only caveat was that there were only like 3 shower cubicles.
2.) The dinning area is more like a "Zhu Chao" with orders taken and made fresh. Typically, you can order Mi Goreng; Black Hokkien Mee; Hor Fun. Please don't forget to order the Chicken Wings (very popular).
Cold and Hot beverages are also available as well as toast bread with Kaya.
3) Huge TV room but was empty. Seats look good and most likely good for Head/Neck massage or Foot massage.
4) One floor up is where the massage rooms are. Have to climb back stairs but really clean and bright. This is also the entrance to the alfresco "outdoor" lounge (smoking). Another big Toshiba Regza TV outside. Was really windy and nice.

Experience (lets stick with the "proper stuff" only-massage)
-Was not in high hopes about quality of masseurs but did see a young looking Malaysian Chinese in the Hallway that could have gotten an overall 6/10 rating.
-Thai massage is done in "couple" rooms with only a curtain separting. As I went with a buddy, the curtain was not drawn.
-We were greeted by 2 30-40 looking Thais in the room and got to work
-Mat on floor with a pillow and towel for head
-As our masseurs were Thailand, background music was Thai
-The massage is really traditional thai and these ladies are the shorter and stout type (top heavy though)
-For those who enjoys hard massage, this is the place
-Told mine that my back hurts and she surprised me at the end with a back-stretch by lifting me up on her back via legs and arms (i'm 90kg so that was rather amazing)
-Overall rating 7/10 for the massage

On the way down, saw 2 other Thai masseurs going off. They looked closer to 30 unlike the aunties we had and were same built - shorter and stout.
