vietnamese bride-Is it still a trend to marry them for companionship sake?

Just post this out of curiosity though it seems a bit outdated for singaporean single men to marry foreign wife but due to the society today , seems like local ladies eyesight is being set too high for the standard of men in singapore who cannot meet their standards.
I do sympathize for men after the age of 35 years old and intend to buy new flat (BTO) flats but its application was unsuccessful due to singlehood but are only allow to buy resale flat which its valuation price is much higher than new flat.
Is it advisable to marry a vietnamese wife just to get the marriage status to apply for new flat and for companionship purpose but no love involved?

Im sure there are some brothers here who marry vietnamese woman , so does it last or at the end you send her back vietnam?

if no PR, how to apply HDB ?

what if she does not get PR for life ? (due to some unforeseen circumstances like she changed passport, or has a criminal record some where)

get married $25 - get divorce $2500+ and loose half your assets. no love ? think twice oei....

my poor friend has a Vietnam wife, arranged by his mutual friends (no cost involved) and he has 4 children with her.. she is under 1.6m but face is like super chio. those can turn me into lesbian..

Vietnamese girls can be very chio and comes with hourglass figures, so looking on the bright side. Average joe can at least have a chance of marrying someone chio(who might turnout to be a FL)(great for sex). To marry a SG girl with no hourglass figure and average look(no bj). The average joe needs be able to afford a condo to qualify. Wahahah. so Joe got not much of a choice.

It;s not that certain ppl here cannot meet the standards of local ladies, it,s just that whether they want or don,t want to marry a local.

Why get married when there is no love?? You will regret eventually, just for the flat is not worth it.. Cos if divorce then it will cost more than ur flat and like the bro had mentioned, there is no guarantee that ur foreign wife can get PR..

In fact, i can remember a few in singapore, selegie shopping center or peace center(some where inside), golden mile tower(little thailand , beach rd, chinatown pearl center, etc.
I think you are very adventurous , you can go and recce some of these agencies.
There are agents who actually let you pay sum of $ for the viet gal probationary period for 3 days or a week , see whether you can get along with her.If you are the kind wants the vietnam gal marriage trial period , you can go for this, try to deflower her first , after that you cannot click with her, send her back agency as you already paid the agreement sum for trial period to test engine.There are cases like that from the agency , that was some years back but as for now im not sure whether some agents still practice this..

U can of close choose a young and pretty one but end of the day,a good marriage depends on both.

It's really a personal objective thingy, it may not be for love but as one bro states, for companion sake or other reasons. Losing half of whatever is the same in any marriage and break downs happen even for r/s with years of dating. At the end of the day, if you're someone who have done all and just want to settle down with whatever non-msainstream reasons, going for dating agency or marriage agency is similar in many ways; the latter just speed up the process - which by itself is one of the biggest reason why someone may consider this option. No doubt the risk is higher but to someone, it may be worth it compare to not trying at all.
