SINGAPORE - Low-wage healthcare workers have seen their salaries increase by 10 per cent in the past year under NTUC's progressive wage model, it was announced on Monday.
Some 2,500 support staff at public hospitals and polyclinics under Alexandra Health, Eastern Health Alliance, Jurong Health Services, National Healthcare Group, National University Hospital and SingHealth Services, who were earning less than $2,000 a month, benefitted under the model.
This was announced by Member of Parliament Patrick Tay, who leads the NTUC Healthcare Cluster, at a National Day Observance Ceremony held at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
