Credit card users from several major banks in Singapore have reported that they have been hit with unauthorised transactions on their cards.
These were allegedly for transactions with a Taiwan-based company, Neweb Technologies.
When contacted by 938LIVE, DBS Bank, OCBC and UOB confirmed they have received the complaints and are investigating.
The banks say they are contacting affected customers who would not be liable for the unauthorized transactions
UOB adds that it has blocked the merchant involved, while DBS says it is replacing the credit cards of all affected customers.
The banks have also advised their customers to remain vigilant against card frauds, and report any suspicious transactions.
Several affected credit card users have gone on to an online forum to share their experiences.
Many say they were first alerted to the charges by text messages and have since cancelled their credit cards.
