Thumbs up Brand new kallang wave mall suspends rock-climbing as cracks appear on glass ceiling

BRAND NEW KALLANG WAVE MALL SUSPENDS ROCK-CLIMBING AS CRACKS APPEAR ON GLASS CEILING

Post date:
29 Jul 2014 - 7:27pm

The Kallang Wave Mall is temporarily suspending indoor climbing activities as there have been cracks appearing on the glass ceiling just above the climbing area.
The operator of the indoor rock-climbing facility, Climb Central, explained on its facebook page on Monday night that all climbing activities would be stopped until further notice.
They did not say when it would be fixed and back in operation but simply explained that they would keep the public updated.
The Kallang Wave Mall is part of the brand new Singapore Sports Hub complex which cost $1.3 billion to build.
The new mall only opened about 1 month ago and the climbing wall affected is Singapore's tallest indoor rock-climbing facility.
However, it would seem that it is ill-fortuned to have to close temporarily so soon after it just opened.
The sudden cracks appearing on the glass ceiling have prompted some to question the quality of the rest of the brand new mall.
