Non Sexual- But heart warming

for all the history of this folder, which I find no folder to pen down my thoughts to share with other readers here, I hope my post ll not bore anyone or get flamed.

during a lunch session, my frd n I walked past pizza hut (definitely not advertising for them), it was empty (1130hrs), n we said it has been a few years since we ate pizza...... so we went in.

after we opened n walked through the doors, we were greeted by a tall (1.73m) fair skinned, well groomed young man server. the way he spoke, loud clear voice, but with no emotions....... I continued to observe..... oh! he is an "under-privilege" staff. those tat are recovering n rehabilitating from certain schemes/job placement projects. (sorry, tat I dunno the actual term).

when this man presented the menus to us, he was speaking in a manner tat was taught to him, loud n clear though with less personal emotions. at the same time, his manager was standing behind him, in case this young man met up a difficult customer.......

as he serves us the soups, we noticed his hand was a bit shivering........ n I immediately lend him a helping hand to our soups. he was apologetic, n his manager immediately spoke........... but we stopped the manager! we said, we understand, n we are happy to see this young man given a chance to do his time here.

following up, it is the usual servings of pizza n drinks, etc....... both of us were noticing this young man's movements. in our minds, we are happy that despite his abnormalities, he is getting himself used to the working environment, while there are many ppl who are whining about no work, no job, no money........

after finishing our meal, we decide to wait n observe more of this man. he is young, maybe 25yo, 1.73m, slim built but not skinny, well cut hair, nice eyes with double eyelids and a high sharp nose. I think he is better looking than I m, haha.

well, it's true that GOD never made all men equal. and I do hope this young man, can be allowed to contribute his small part to the society.

in my knowledge, there are many well ablebodied people, males n females, whining away that the society doesn't accept them n they got no work. but when I go ntuc, shop n save, now pizza hut, they are employing these lower than average workforce. be it lower cost to them or wat, it is really heart warming to see them in the service sector.

let us all acknowledge these workers, n give them a hand if the need arises, n applause them when they are serving us.

* before this thread, I have already sent a lengthy email to pizza hut to applause them for employing these workers, n told PH tat I ll be dragging my frds n relatives to their outlets.
