After claiming she had no money for her $6.70 taxi fare, this nicely-dressed female passenger tried all sorts of ways to avoid paying up.

A video of the incident, which took place somewhere in Bras Brasah, was uploaded on Facebook by All Singapore Stuff.

It starts off with the cabby waiting for payment while the woman is engrossed in her phone.

This drags out for several long moments, with the woman saying that she is downloading applications on her phone.

She finally asks how much the fare is after being prompted once more, only to say that she does not have the money.

The woman then said that she would call her friend and engages in a conversation on the phone.

During this time, she starts sliding towards the taxi door, seemingly in an attempt to leave.

When she does get down the taxi while still appearing to talk on the phone, the cabby calls her back and tells her not to go.

More long, dragged out moments follow as the woman finally ends her phone conversation and starts to make another call.

The taxi driver eventually tells her to forget about it and lets her leave while he apparently goes to pick up another customer.
