Re: Broadband ISP in Thailand
ADSL is the most popular / common, if not the only type of broadband for home / personal use. "True" is 1 of the most popular service providers. It has several packages, from 256k to 2Mb, if I did not remember wrongly. The charges are specified in the website. An ADSL modem will be given to you when u subscribe.
If you are looking at detailed technical info / specs, then I think u gotta check with technical folks. What other details do u need? even in sillypore, that is about all the info u need. choose the provider, subscribe, set up your computer to use it. Not to forget, make payment as required. |

Re: Broadband ISP in Thailand
Yes most uses ADSL phone lines though cslexinfo offers satellite broadband services. Check out www.loxinfo.co.th for info and pricing packages. Also you may wanna check out www.tttbroadband.com as they have ADSL broadband packages as well.
Cost differs in accordance to your requirement. It can range from as little as 750 baht to as much as 30,000 baht. Hope this helps? Cheers! |

broadband still in infancy there compared to singapore. but costs are dropping and they are pushing it alot... however you can still opt for dial up... cards are easily available in all 7-11 stores. you juz buy the required number of hours you want to surf.

Re: Broadband ISP in Thailand
Hi Guys!,
Wow! Thanks for the quick response and information! Just some question on the hardware requirements for satellite broadband (eg. IPSTAR). Are these rented or upfront purchased from any authorised reseller (something like that)?

Equipment is provided by the ISP as part of the installation fee though it remains their property upon termination. I believe there's a minimum 6 months contractual period else you need to pay a penalty for early termination.
