Malaysia custom VEP
Hi Bros,
I haven't been going into Jb for last two weeks since 01 June. Am afraid of custom traffic jam due to the implementation of VEP at Malaysia side. Any kind bro can advice, on the VEP procedures and the jam condition? Thanks In Advance |

The VEP is still under testing for at least a month, ends at 12pm everyday. So don't enter between 7am to 12pm. They are totally not ready for the system, website not working properly, no one knows anything clearly even as I asked before. From what I gather, it seems that it is 20rm if you enter between 7am to 5pm on weekdays, but always assume worse case so if include current charges will be 20 + 9.8 + 7.8 RM = 37.6 RM in total. Update: My bad, I went to re-read, it seems that they intend to charge 20rm everytime we enter regardless of timing, So the safe assumption is at least 37.6RM each time we go there and back. I would say entering at about 1-3pm and 11pm onwards to 5am is pretty safe based on my own experience for weekdays. Weekends you ownself eyeball.. |

Re: Malaysia custom VEP
Thank you for the information
So May I ask, for those who did not register VEP, is there problem entering malaysia? For RM37.50, it is still cheap as there is many saving in the petrol and other things |

Re: Malaysia custom VEP
You need to go to JPJ web site to register your car. Once completed, they will send you a confirmation email and ask you to wait for a next email omce your VEP tag is ready for collection.

Re: Malaysia custom VEP
So according to bolehland, 120,000 singkie cars registered. So they will need to encode 120,000 RFID tags for each car and then distribute them to 120,000 owners in 4 weeks time. Just a guess, but maybe the start date is July 15th 2017.

From what i understand, the RFID and registration shit are all going to be deemed redundant. i.e simplifying the whole process. Now there is 2 machines you must tap your touch and go card on. One is the RM9.80 toll and the other is the RM20 road charge. The bullshit rationale they use to justify the increase is now all irrelevant, you just have to pay if you want to come in. Anything else can be ignore for now.

Re: Malaysia custom VEP
I heard this "S$ sucking System" is only affecting Singapore cars that driven in to Malaysia. Thai, indo and Bruneian cars are not affected.
