Advice on divorcing ( behalf of my good frd)

Guys I need advice on such matter.
Behalf of my very good frd

My frd's OC had engaged lawyer to file for div
But He do not want to go ahead with the action
( there are reasons on why He dun agree to the div but he told me he make a wrg choice during the time in marriage life that resulted his wife to file for div. He did not 偷情 he just make wrg investment move that make their bank acct $0)
Understand that once the legal action is file even if he dun sign the div will still take place?
Any members here or lawyer can give advise to it?

Maybe he seems it as nothing big issue over the $$... Investment gone wrg and make the bank acct $0... He say $$ can make again.. But I told him maybe it the trust that make her to div... Obviously my frd went ahead without her consent over the investment..

yes the divorce can still proceed even he not sign, but can drag up to 3 years before officially divorce. Anything can still happen within this 3 years

My frd had found out that his wife went on a trip with frds but later he found out that there were no frds but only a guy ... ( nobody knew what happen in the trip he just find that she talk softly or SMS at house corner )
So can any of this be used to stop the div or used it against her if later were to claim maintenance fee ?

So your friend's wife file for divorce is wrong investment or she had an affair and wants that guy? I am confused. If he got solid evidence, and reasons stated in divorce papers, for divorce, he can counter it. If he no money to fight, just let go and proof he no money to give maintenance.

He find her talking and holding the hp all the time. He did not have solid evidence all just base on his everyday checking.

Why he doesnt want to divorce? Did his wife dicuss with him abt the term? If his wife ask for unfair compensation probably advice ur friend to collect some solid evidence, or else either divorce or have heart to heart talk with his wife bah.

No idea.. What I know is he keep saying he make wrg investment and use the joint acct to invest without her knowing it. His wife filed a div thru lawyer and ask him go talk to the lawyer. He did not want to talk to the lawyer and had been avoiding the calls for weeks. I told him to have a heart to heart talk with his wife but his wife insist on div and do not want this marriage without Trust.
I guess he had betray her trust and take her for granted all this time.
I know his wife had gone thru many shit and problems with him but this time round she seems very determine to get div

Your friend should just let the wife go...he makes such a huge mistake...already making investment decision byhimself without consulting the wife for a joint account already shows how selfish he is...just let her go and move on with his life....

If u truly his good friend, dont side on him and give fair suggestions and opinions to him. In order to do so u gotta make him tell u the truth and find out more from him. Maybe u r doing it right now
