FIFA technical director Marco van Basten eyes scrapping offsides and yellow cards in radical blueprint for the game http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...co-van-9647981

Possible Changes:
- Scrap extra-time and go straight to penalties in cup games
- Give players eight seconds to run at the goal from 25 metres instead of the traditional penalty
- Abolish the offside rule
- Play four quarters, rather than two halves
