FRIENDS of a missing man were left horrified when they found his dead body inside a huge snake.

Akbar Salubiro had been missing since Sunday night when friends came across the seven-metre long python in his own back garden.

A large crowd gathered round the snake as one man started slicing it open.

They were left mortified when the body of Akbar was found – fully in tact.

He was still wearing his welly boots, shorts and a T-shirt when he was pulled out of the belly of the beast.

The 25-year-old vanished after he set off for work harvesting palm oil in a remote village on the island of west Sulawesi, Indonesia.

But he didn’t return home and concerned friends and relatives started a desperate search on Monday, before finding the snake the same evening.

Akbar’s wife, Munu, only found out about the incident when pictures and video emerged in the news.

“People had heard cries from the palm grove the night before Akbar was found in the snake's stomach,” village secretary Salubiro Junaidi said.

“When the snake was captured, the boots Akbar was wearing were clearly visible in the stomach of the snake.

“A resident cut open the belly of the snake and Akbar was lifeless.”
